Thank you to everyone who came out last night for our first show and party at Common House. The night was a huge success and the presence of so many great friends was as intoxicating as the Lone Star and boxed wine.

A huge thank you to Sean and Shawn of Karate Foot for curating an amazing show and really stepping it up in creating one of the best zines I've seen in a long time. And thank you to everyone who purchased art; it's always inspiring when people who seem to be just scraping by like the rest of us are willing to spend what little money they have on a piece of art that really moves them.

Ben and Sarah, thank you so much for slinging burgers and dogs all night, I know it was rough! And to anyone and everyone who has helped us get this project up and running, thank you and we can't wait to do it again!!!

Some friends and I have embarked on a new and exciting endeavor by starting an art collective called Common House. We've got a website you can check out here, and hopefully by the time you read this we will have signed our leasing agreement and gotten started on our space, located in an old house off 49th and Airport Blvd here in Austin, TX. The future studios will be shared by Conner O'Leary, Rich Cali, Autumn Spadaro, Adam Mendez, Patrick Lillard, Mike Combs and myself with a gallery space to show our work and the work of our friends and peers.

Once we get everything worked out, we hope to be able to host monthly art shows along with other creative and entertaining events that we feel will help bring exposure and recognition to the hard work we and our friends put into what we love doing.

Wish us luck and hopefully Common House will be become another great Austin institution.
